Appleseed OVA (1988)
I really need to rewatch this, before writing anything up. Unfortunatley I only have a VHS copy and no VCR... So ha! a legitimate excuse for not having any information for you :P
I can say that I've only ever seen it subbed. Supposedly there's a dub out there, on the DVD even I think, but I hear its one of the worse ones out there. From what I remember of it, well, it looked on par for its time, and well... it had the main characters and landmates in it, what more do you need? Everything else is a bit fuzzy and/or spoilerish, so I'm not gonna say any more until I can get ahold of the DVD.
