For the last week or so, there&#8217;s been an odd little surge in architectural things that have caught my eye.  First the discovery of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.motorballer.org\/beyond\/2009\/05\/18\/lego-architecture\/\">LEGO Architecture<\/a> line (managed to grab the <span class=\"name\">Sears Tower<\/span> and <span class=\"name\">John Hancock Building<\/span> models this weekend, by the by!), followed by the much more <a href=\"http:\/\/brickstructures.com\/0ArchitecturalModels.html\">elaborate models<\/a> of the guys that designed them, then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/features\/time-money\/home\/la-hm-tinyhouses12-2009may12-pg,0,6291534.photogallery\">an article\/slideshow<\/a> pimping a new book showcasing tiny houses which looks quite interesting, and&#8230; actually, this one showed up 2-3 weeks back, but I was pointed somehow at the work of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oshatz.com\/index.htm\" class=\"name\">Robert Harvey Oshatz<\/a> (who apprenticed under <span class=\"name\">Frank Lloyd Wright<\/span>).  Add to that some of the stuff that shows up in the <a href=\"http:\/\/community.livejournal.com\/abandonedplaces\/\">Abandoned Places<\/a> LiveJournal, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freakangels.com\/whitechapel\">Whitechapel<\/a> photography threads, and other places and it all adds up into a bit of a renewed spark of an old interest in architecture.   I&#8217;m entirely uneducated on the subject, mind you, but the world of architecture is full of very, very pretty things to look at, and these have been some nice reminders of that.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hmm, idle musings.
