{"id":338,"date":"2009-05-18T10:24:52","date_gmt":"2009-05-18T15:24:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.motorballer.org\/beyond\/?p=338"},"modified":"2009-05-18T16:35:26","modified_gmt":"2009-05-18T21:35:26","slug":"lego-architecture","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.motorballer.org\/beyond\/2009\/05\/18\/lego-architecture\/","title":{"rendered":"LEGO Architecture"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Okay, so I&#8217;ve seen some pretty cool <span class=\"name\">LEGO<\/span> landmarks at their store in the Mall of America in the over the last 6-9 months, like the <span class=\"title\">Taj Mahal<\/span> and <span class=\"title\">Eiffel Tower<\/span>, but I hadn&#8217;t realized they were part of a proper series.  However, my interest just shot up as they&#8217;ve revealed an official partnership with the <span class=\"name\">Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation<\/span> to add some of his designs to their <span class=\"name\">Architecture<\/span> series, starting with <span class=\"name title\">Fallingwater<\/span> (below) and the <span class=\"name title\">Guggenheim Museum<\/span>.  I was a huge <span class=\"name\">LEGO<\/span> nerd growing up (though admittedly focused on making awesome spaceships and <strike>cars<\/strike>death machines), and spent a year or two seriously considering going into architecture in high school, so this is looking quite irresistible (at least <span class=\"name title\">Fallingwater<\/span>, never been big on the <span class=\"name title\">Guggenheim<\/span>. Guess I&#8217;m going to have to be sure that I&#8217;m always making my way to the <span class=\"name\">LEGO<\/span> store on my weekend malll runs now, as well as paying some more attention to what else is in store for the series.
